"Lovely things"- Monday

This is going to be my first "lovely things"- Monday, meaning:
from now on, every monday I will post a few things I found on the internet during the week that really are worth having a look at.
Such as etsy shops, items, music,...
Today we have 3 lovely things and some music, Starting next week I will have more lovely things to show you. But I kind of decided to do this in an impulse today, so I didn't have time to look for more things.
There will be more next week, promise<3

Our lovely things of today:

This a victorian inspired necklace created by "Azure Treasures" on etsy.
I love all the items in her shop and wish to place an order there soon!
Everything is handmade, even pearls are handknot.
If I were to order something, I would most likely buy this necklace, the color of the glass jewel is so amazing, and I aboslutely love the connector that the designer used!

This is a ring by the designer Daniel Proulx, under the name "Cathrinette rings" on etsy.
He designs all kings of steampunk jewelery and mini sculptures, I am a big fan of what he is doing, all his stuff looks amazing.
The ring is made out of a stretchy material so it will fit any fingers, wich is great for me since I have chubby fingers, hah!

This is a victorian jacket I found a while back on etsy, it is made by a dutch designer called Marjolein Turin who has her own brand "Somnia Romantica".
All her clothes seem very well made, and I really want to order from her some time.
She makes every item to your measurements and to your likings where ever she can.

Last but not least, Enslaved's song "the watcher" has been haunting me for days.
It is one of the most beautifull black metal songs that has ever been made if you ask me.
So I think it deserves a listen from you as well ^^

Independence

Lately I have been feeling a strong urge for independence... again.
I don't hate living with my parents, I like them, they do good things for me and everything,
but sometimes I feel like I have to get out and go live on my own.

I imagine about a small appartement in Ghent.
I would decorate it in a victorian or arabian style, victorian is prefered though!
To be honest, I already have some stuff for my future home, like an antique mirror, victorian-ish jewelery boxes, a set of forks, spoons and knives,...

I am a huge fan of both exotic and victorian interior, so the only thing I hope is that I don't try to mix the styles and then totally screw it up. I want my place to look nice!

Just look at those beautifull rich and warm colours!
And those arches are just gorgeous, I love detailed cuttings like those.
Another thing I reall love about this style, is the lamps. I wanted to buy a lamp in this style in Istanbull, but they were -unfortionately- all overpriced!

But then again victorian interiors are very beautifull as well,
they are super cosy and elegant, though exotic interiors are also very ellegant in their own way.

I like the curtains used in victorian interior, same for the sofa's.
Mirrors are one of my favourite objects, and I absolutely adore victorian mirrors!
The chandeliers are nice too, and I like lots of sparkly stuff, so... =3

I just wish I could already have a nice appartement for me and my boyfriend, living togheter seems like a whole lot of fun to me...
As long as I get to choose the interior ofcrouse =')

Cities are prefered, I like being in cities because everything is in one place.
You only have to take a tram or buss to go shopping, no need for driving around and looking for parking all day long.
Ghent would be my first choice because most of my friends live there, I know the entire town, it is a beautifull and it has some pretty cool shops.
I would also consider Antwerp or Brussels, They are nice cities too and I also know all the shops I have to know around there.

For now I'll just have to keep dreaming,
go to sleep in my bed,
at my parents house.

I hope I'll be sleeping in my own appartement soon. <3

Nice week , car accident + jewelery update

Last week was a pretty good week, but with a downside.
I've spent my last week without a job being lazy, doing whatever I want and a visit to Efteling.

For the 1st of november my boyfriend and I went to his family where we had to watch dia's for hours, and I can tell you this: looking at your own vacation pictures is fun, but looking at otherpeople's vacation pictures just sucks...
Apart from watching vacation dia's we also watched dia's from my bf's parents their chilhood.
What I've learned from this:
My boyfriends's dad lookd like my boyfriend with a weird "beatlles" wig.

At Efteling we had a great time, we haven't qued a single line the entire day!
There were basicaly no visitors in the park, the weather was good, all the new rides were absolutely amazing and we had lots of fun!
Now I feel like going again already enxt month, hah!
But I'll have to wait till next year...
Unfortionately my favourite rollercoaster wasn't open that day.
The fairytale and laaf village were as enchanting as tey used to be, I thought they would be less cool because I'm older now, but they were still as magical ^^
We got stuck for 15 minutes in "Vliegende hollander" because of technical problems, I get this all te time. Every time I visit a thema park, something gets stuck.
Oh and I wore my newest lolita skirt, wich I adore <3

After we left the park (not even 3 kilometers) there was a car standing still on the road, we hit the brakes about just in time, but the car behind us was to late, tried to drive around us but hit one of back tires... yay!
I really was in shock at first, luckily th people who drove into us were really nice and did all the paper work properly, the person causing the accident who was standing still on the road drove off when he/she saw us getting hit.
We couldn't drive back home and to wait for somone to pick us up for two hours in a mc donalds, I ate soo much that night..

I have finally placed a supply order with a wholesaler for my new jewelery collection, everything is going to be victorian inspired. I am working with silver and glass jewels for the collection so the price is going to be a litlle more expensive than the usual things that I sell.
I asked people on vampirefreaks and facebook what colors I should use, so I took someof the most popular colors and some of the less popular colors to create a color scheme with varities.
here's the outcome:

These are all the colors i'll be using for the biggest pieces of the collection.
I hope that I'll recieve my supplies soon, so I can start making my new jewelery!

Last week as a free woman

The upcoming week is my last week as a free woman,
I found a job so no more lazy days of doing nothing all day.

Too bad... I kind of liked them!

But ah well, everyone needs a money source and so do I. When I think about it, I'm quite happy that I found a new job even though I will have to work on saturdays.
Atleast now I won't have those days where I don't even have 0.01€ in my wallet, hah!

Yesterday I was thinking of a new jewelery collection for my FB shop "EmikoDesigns" and then I thought I should do a collection that is really fancy for the holidays like christmass and new year. I did some reasearch on the net and decided that I am going to make a collection useing glass jewelery instead of cameo's.
It is going to be all victorian inspired

  • Silver
  • Gem stones
  • Bright colors
  • Sparkle
  • Fancy
Those are the first things I thougt of, and all the things I decided to use in my new collection.
I'm going to order the supplies soon, so there should be jewelery up pretty soon too =)

Amusement park frenzy!

The last three months I've been obsessed by amusement parcs!
I always lvoed them since I was a kid, and visited them on a regular basis. (my parents eve bought subsciptions to soma belgian amusement parks when me and my brother we're younger)
But now it's been quite a while since I went to an amusemet park, it's been since January 2010 (Disneyland Paris) , wich is a LOOOONG time for me!

So far I've been to:
Efteling x3 (NL)
Walibi world (NL)
Bellewaerde x10 (B)
Walibi x18 (B)
Plopsaland (B)
Plopsa Coo x3 (B)
Movie park (D)
Phantasialand(D)
Disneyland resort Paris x5 (FR)
Walibi France (FR)
Garda Land (IT)

I would love to visit Phantasialand, Disneyland or Efteling again soon!
And since Efteling is just over the border (2 hrs drive), me and my boyfriend descided to go next week, and I am very excited.
I am planning all the stuff to do there as we speak!
The rollercoasters is what I'd want to do most, then comes some of the gentle rides and the fairytale woods, wich by the way are gorgeous.
Their fairytale woods have basically every classic european fairytale and some of other continents, they are great scenery for photoshoot now I think of it, and would like to shoot at that park some day. Though I'm not sure if that is possible.

Oooh amusement parks... you hold all my favourite memories <3
And I am sooo glad I get to make some new memories there next week =)

Any other amusement park freaks out here?

Shoots

So, since I made this blog in August I have done three photoshoot.

One with Kinga Szabo (Filth Industries), Guy de Westelinck and Annabelle D'Hont (Hoshii), and I am hoping to do some more shoots soon.

The photoshoot with Kinga Szabo took place in Ghent at the citadel parc ad at the blaarmeersen recreation parc and was kind of the typical goth shoot.

We had fun with it, she was a nice girl to work with and easy to talk too, wich I like! I don't socialize easily, but with her it just went great ^^

Here are some of my favourite pics:

The shoot after that one, was my shoot with Guy de Westelicnk.
Guy is a very friendly man who really knows what he is doing, he had a lot of equipment that I thought I'd never see in real life in one of my shoots, it was amazing. The theme was suicide, so I had to do some crazy stuff; get hung with a harnass, lay upside down on stairs of an old house,.. I also made a fake poison, haha!

It was a nice experience!
Here's my favourite pics:

Last and most recent shoot I did was with Hoshii photography, we went to Ghent (St Baafs cathedral)
I dressed up s my own interpretation of Sorin Markov, a planeswalker from the card game "Magic the gathering", well a toned down female version ofcourse...

We had a great time, Annabelle is a very nice and young girl who loves to laugh and make a fun experience out of the shoot. Since the shoot took place in a cathedral full of tourists we had some funny situations and led to some amazing photographs!
here are my favourites:

Armadillo

Last weekend me and my boyfriend watched the entire 4th season of "True Blood", and I absolutely loved it!
It was exciting, and there were lots of suprising elements!
I can't wait for season 5, though I am not so thrilled that Russel Edgington is going to be back... All the episodes including him look like the True Blood fund has been spend on 1 million liter of fake blood...

In one of the episodes where Terry and Arlene's home mysteriously burns donw, you can see Terry hold his über cute armadillo, I now know what I want for a next pet.

This cute litlle armadillo mademe want to have my own <3
I've been looking around the internet where I could buy one, no succes so far...

I always wanted a sphynx cat, but my boyfriend is allergic to anything with fur, sphynx cats might not have (vissible) hair, but they aren't hypoallergenic, so now I am silently hoping that armadillo's are!
The ones I like the most are the "dasypus novemcinctus", the same kind as Terry has.

Aren't they adorable?
